Coming of fall!
We're in mid-October. In India, Navratri and Dussehra are over, and with that air has turned crispier. The advent of winters to autumn is the most beautiful transition. You can feel the wind getting chillier and dryer. Diwali is around the corner and every household in India has started with the cleaning and unpacking winter clothes. It is definitely worth witnessing and takes you into nostalgia. Winters in Jaipur last for short amount of time but the memories it leaves you behind will last lifetime. The roasted groundnuts, gajak, chikki, jaggery and that sitting around bonfire, always remind me of happy and simpler times. But sadly, when the Diwali is over, it leaves you feeling empty, but on the other hand, you eagerly wait for next year. So, the one thing that you are filled with is hope, hope that next Diwali comes sooner than anticipated. Although, Diwali lasts five days but the winters do not end till February! Meanwhile, we have Christmas, New year, Lodhi, Makar Sankranti and many more. Winters are for celebration for sure and every moment is worth it:)
